Call Planning & Marketing Template
There’s no going back from the ever-present video conference call… it’s turning into a skill that we all need to have to some extent.
But are we planning calls using a shared process — one that grows strong relationships within and outside of the planning team?
In many organizations, call planning is a totally internalized, smooth running machine and expectations are high. Just kidding. We’re all flying by the seat of our pants. Every call planning has its hitches and missteps. Hopes can be dashed, attendance can be low, and we can all feel the stress of this repeating ad nauseum experience. What do you do when you have a new team member or you’re working with a colleague for the first time? What do you do when someone who’s not doing any work is micromanaging? What do you do when you fall behind?
This template is designed to help people get on the same page for a successful call or series. The focus is not just on planning but also marketing, and based on the idea that no call or series can be done in a vacuum.
And here’s shame-free plug for normalizing being OFF CAMERA: “Why You Won’t Catch Me “On-Camera” in Virtual Meetings” by Elizabeth Silleck La Rue and some amazing group agreements: See these instructions from Seeds for Change or check out this resource from National Equity Project.
